How do I transfer the TI-Nspire applications to my calculator?

1) TINSPIRE CX CAS and CX CAS II users : Download and install TI-Nspire CX CAS Student Software at https://education.ti.com/en/us/software/search/ti-nspire-cx-cas TINSPIRE CX and CX II users : Download and install TI-Nspire CX Student Software at https://education.ti.com/en/us/software/search/ti-nspire-cx 2) Start the Software and connect the TI-Nspire handheld to your computer via USB Connectivity cable. Restart your computer if connectivity fails.
3) Make sure you run OS 4.2 or higher on your TI-Nspire (go to 5:Settings -> 4:Status, on top of that page where it reads ‘Version:’).
3b) If your OS is below 4.2 please freely download and install the latest OS at https://education.ti.com/en/us/software/update/ti-nspire-software-update. Save the OS on your computer and use the TI Student Software to transfer it.
4) Save the attached MADE EASY app and drag it to the bottom left “TI-Nspire File Browser” window.
5) On the TI-Nspire, Press OK after reading the transfer message. Then click the “doc” button and scroll to the Made Easy App to launch it. Press Enter.
6) Enter activation key and press CTRL-S to save app and key. CTRL-W to exit it when exiting the app.

Can a TiNspire CX CAS show step by step solutions?

Its operation system does not provide stepwise solutions, however, the MADE EASY apps at www.TiNspireApps.com do. Stepwise solutions can be found in the areas of Mathematics, Science and Finances.

How do I run Apps on the TiNspire?

Click “On” , then click “My Documents” and click on the App. Wait for a moment to load.

How do I get a step by step TiNspire app?

Navigate www.TiNspireApps.com to find the App you need. Simply click the PayPal Buy Now button. The key and app will be automatically emailed after your payment is made. Check your SPAM folder for the key too. Total time: 5 min

How much does a Site License for a MADE EASY app cost?

$1000 per MADE EASY app which allows the entire school to use that MADE EASY app.
Future updates and customer support are included.
Purchase Orders (to be emailed to support@tinspireapps.com) are accepted, they take longer to process than credit card/paypal payments.

Can I copy and paste functions into the app?

No.

Does the app provide functionality as library?

No. The app is standalone, it does not provide functionality in the library.

Is the TiNspire CX worth it?

Yes, it is. It is by far the most sophisticated calculator these days. This pertains to all areas of Math, Science, Finances. When you add the stepwise features it is an invaluable tool that will help you from Middle School through College. Remember, you now charge the TiNspire like you charge your cell phone. No battery replacements needed.

Can I use the TiNspire CX on Standardized Tests?

Yes, the TiNspire CX is permitted on ACT, SAT , AP , IB as well as most state standardized tests.

Can I use the TiNspire CX on the ACT Test?

What is the difference between TiNspire CX and the TiNspire CX CAS?

CAS stands for Computer Algebra System and allows algebraic operations (such as solving 11=5*a as a=11/5 and factoring) as well as Calculus (derivatives and integrals), Statistics (Distributions, Confidence Intervals etc), Differential Equations (1. and 2. order) operations. It is much more powerful and costs the same. No brainer.

When resetting my TiNspire will I lose any apps or documents?

No. You can first backup any file you would like to keep to your computer. After resetting you can either reinstall the backup or freshly install the apps again. Our apps will never expire.

How do I use the TiNspire's Calculus App?

Calculus Made Easy serves primarily three purposes:

Solve Calculus problem step by step. Enter the function and follow step by step to check if your homework problem was done correctly.
Calculus concepts can be learned by viewing visual calculator animations.
Teachers and students can immediately solve any Calculus problem. Even complicated problems (i.e. 2nd derivative, vertical tangent lines of implicitly defined curves, solutions to differential equations and slope fields, etc…) can be verified. Literally any problem can be solved with the Calculus Made Easy program, which is an enormous help!

How many TiNspire apps fit onto my calculator?

Pretty much unlimited since the TiNspire has 91MB memory. Each app is about 30kb, your Nspire could hold several hundred MADE EASY apps.

What are the payment options?

Use PayPal to pay with a credit card or your PayPal account.

Alternatively, you may use Bitcoins or Western Union. (Please contact us for the required WU information). Once paid, email us the Money Transfer Code and your Calculator ID. We will email you the key as soon as money is received.

Can I get a new key for another calculator?

No. Each key purchase is per calculator only. In case of using a new calculator (due to loss, theft, malfunctioning, etc) the purchase of a new key is necessary.

What is a Site License?

If a program is not only used by one person (i.e. the teacher ) but made accessible to others such as students or other teachers within the school, a site license must be acquired by the school.
